Junichi Nakahara (1913-1983) was a prominent artist well known for his watercolor paintings, illustrations, fashion design, interior decorating and doll making. The style of his illustration is obviously influenced by Art Deco, and they are typical of Japanese MANGA drawings that are popular today. Therefore, he is considered a forerunner of MANGA art.
